Growing Together: My Photography Journey
Seguin, Texas has always felt like home to me.
But my photography journey didn’t start with a business plan or a big dream , it started during Covid, when the world slowed down and everything felt uncertain. Like so many parents, I picked up my camera simply because I didn’t want to miss my own children’s milestones. The world may have stopped, but making memories didn’t.
Those quiet days at home became my classroom. I learned light by watching it spill through our windows. I learned storytelling by documenting ordinary moments that suddenly felt sacred. Birthdays, little hands, growing personalities... moments I never wanted to forget.
When the world started moving again, I ran with it.
Armed with my little Rebel T7 and a heart full of momentum, I began creating beyond my own home. One session led to another. One wedding turned into ten. One boudoir session turned into women walking away feeling confident, empowered, and eager to share their experience — which led to more bookings, more stories, and more trust placed in me.
At the same time, I watched Seguin and the surrounding Central Texas area begin to boom.
New families arrived. New neighborhoods went up. Familiar faces grew their roots deeper. And somehow, my business grew right alongside this town I love. Engagement sessions turned into weddings. Weddings turned into maternity sessions. Newborn photos turned into milestone sessions, then family photos year after year.
There is something incredibly special about growing with a community instead of just working in one.
Seguin isn’t just where I take photos , it’s where lives unfold. It’s where babies become toddlers, couples become families, and seasons change faster than we expect. Being trusted to document those moments, especially during such a transformative time for this area, is something I hold with deep gratitude.
What began as a way to remember my own children’s childhood has grown into a small business nestled right here in Central Texas, built on connection, trust, and the belief that ordinary moments deserve to be remembered.
Photography, to me, isn’t about perfection. It’s about legacy. It’s about freezing seasons that pass too quickly so one day you can look back and remember exactly how it felt.
Growing alongside this community has shaped not only my work, but my heart. And I’m endlessly thankful to every family, couple, and client who has allowed me to grow with them.
